Experiencing Mental Illness in NYC

In the following posts, each writer will muse about the fate of a character from Gothic fiction as if that person were living in New York City today. Given the symptoms described by the character's creator, the questions are: What might happen to him or her if money was no object? What might happen if he or she was living in poverty? These musings will reflect possible outcomes, not the only outcomes.
